After weeks of speculation about whether the federal election was called, the prime minister Colin Barnett said he believes the public WA will be delighted that finally get their vote.
"Many Australians believe that they were in the middle of an election campaign for at least 12 to 18 months, so that, regardless of how people vote there is a appetite," he said.
WA Labor leader Mark McGowan has requested federal counterparts a successful campaign.
"I think that this campaign is to know which is best for the prime minister Kevin Rudd or Tony Abbott and i think that Kevin Rudd wins hands down," he said.
The liberals have had 11 seats federal WA, labor, and three citizens.
Before Kevin Rudd returned to the office of the prime minister, the work is facing the loss of three federal seats in Western Australia.
Political analyst Peter Kennedy said that not only are these seats seems secure again, but the party also plans to make the chair behind the Liberal Hasluck Ken Wyatt.
