| In NA 54 PML(N) is lucky to regain its seat[Posted by : ejaz malik on Mar 27, 2013] In NA 54 PML(N) is lucky to regain its seat but their MNA like all previous MNA of this constituency did nothing for this area. People vote for Nawaz Sharif but the people like Ijaz ul Haq and now Malik Ibrar are not realya political worker. PPP got a very devoted and real political worker in the shape of Malik Zamarud and he delivered also. PML(N) has a political worker Chaudhry Tanveer who can deliver was out of the game due to graduation condition in 2008 but now he can contest and party should ask him to do so because there are rumors that he doesn want to contest. Raja Basharat of PML(Q) will also try to regain his seat but apart from his personal vote bank PML(Q) have nothing in this area rather it will be a negative point of having a ticket of Q. PTI have not any renowned leader yet.
It will be a good contest between PPP and PML(N) if PTI will bring a candidate with the consensus of JI. But if PML(N) brings Ch Tanveer as candidate it will be more easier for them to retain this seat.

But, even with this sort of heavy baggage, it is a party that has the most coverage. They have a strong standing in Sindh, some standing in southern Punjab, for some reason they have strong candidates in Balochistan and they just ally with whoever wins in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Purely based on the coverage they have, PPP would always win the highest seats in the National Assembly. Let me repeat this: it is not due to their good governance or anything; it’s just that they are really spread out. Even in the worst case scenario, they would still have more seats in the National Assembly than any other party in Pakistan.
Apart from coverage, they have one more advantage that is not mentioned enough – their vote bank is rock solid while their opposition’s vote bank has fractured over time.
