The Telangana Legislative Assembly is the state legislative body in the Indian state of Telangana. Currently, the Telangana Legislative Assembly has 119 seats. The political party or coalition that secures a majority of seats in the Telangana Legislative Assembly forms the government in the state. The leader of the majority party or coalition becomes the Chief Minister, who is the head of the state government. The Telangana Legislative Assembly plays a significant role in legislative matters, including passing bills, approving the state budget, and discussing and debating issues of state importance. It provides a platform for representatives to voice the concerns and interests of the people of Telangana.
