Hundreds of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers attacked the partys office in the Karsaz area of Karachi on Sunday to protest against unjust distribution of party tickets for the upcoming elections of the public representatives on the cantonment boards.
Demanding fair and transparent distribution of party tickets, the incensed workers tore down the posters of the partys Sindh leadership and chanted slogans against PML-N Sindh President Shah Muhammad Shah and central leader Miftah Ismail and in favour of Shahbaz Sharif.
The protestors also broke into the party office, damaged furniture and fixtures. Meanwhile, the central leadership taking strong exception to the incident issued a show-cause notice to the PML-Karachi Division President Salman Khan. Salman told The Express Tribune that he had gone to the PML-N party office to pacify the enraged workers because no one was there to listen to their grievances. - Posted on : 10-August-2021
