The next Swiss federal elections will be held on October 18, 2015 for the National Council and the first round of elections to the Council of States.

Swiss National Council

The National Council has 200 members, each elected to represent one of twenty-six cantons. Elections were held on 23 October 2011, along with elections to the Council of States. Eleven parties are represented in the National Council: the one fewer than in the previous National Council.

How do I vote for the National Council?

You must meet in order to vote in the National Council elections, the voting procedures and information on the election materials that voters are sent. There is a special section for Swiss citizens living abroad.
