Labor is licking their lips at the prospect of picking up the seat of Boothby in Adelaides south.
The seat is held by a 1.4 per cent margin by Nicolle Flint, who was heavily touted as a future leader before she announced her retirement.
Labor will be pointing to the results in the state election earlier this month, where they picked up several electorates in the area. - Posted on : 25-April-2022
Voters in Adelaides eastern suburbs will go to the polls for a third time in just a few months, with former deputy premier Vickie Chapman set to quit politics.
Ms Chapman told colleagues of her plan to quit on the same day they met to elect former environment minister David Speirs as the partys new leader.
Ms Chapman is taking leave interstate and was a notable absentee from the leadership ballot.
She declined to comment when approached by ABC News at Adelaide Airport this evening.
Mr Speirs said he did not believe the timing of her decision was personal.
"Ive never had a cross word with Vickie," he said.
"Weve obviously had policy discussions behind the closed doors of cabinet where we havent necessarily been on the same page but those would be few and far between." - Posted on : 19-April-2022
