No more destructive politics: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said Thursday that his government would not allow a more destructive in the country in the name of the movement. "The movement of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-Jamaat is just killing people and arson, nothing more. Did not want to continue this kind of destruction in the country," he said in Parliament, while delivering speech winding up the last day of the budget session. Hasina said that a lot of games have been played with the destiny of the people. "Now the country will be carried out in accordance with the Constitution," he added. Recently, the president Khaleda Zia BNP has threatened to take the tough movement against the government to press home their demand for fresh national elections under a non-party government. The prime minister said that the governments of BNP and Jatiya Party ruled the country 1975-1996, when poverty has increased along with the number of millionaires. He said that during the rule of the Awami League, the poverty rate has been reduced to 26 percent and said it will further reduce. Hasina said that over the last five years of the Awami League, about 5 crore people have graduated from the group of average income of the lowest income group. Stressing the initiatives of his government in the creation of good governance and the rule of law, admitted that there were some incidents like Feni and Narayanganj.
