PM assures interior minister of addressing his reservations at upcoming meeting

[Posted on : 2014-07-06 by Mujahid Iqbal] The prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said Interior Minister Ch Nisar Ali Khan, who will address their concerns at a meeting to be held in Islamabad with the ministers whose conduct would Nisar one estranger in government.
In the presence of the head of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif Minister, the Prime Minister held the second meeting with Ch Nisar in Raiwind within 24 hours since he arrived in the city on Friday night at the persuasion of Shahbaz.
Ch Nisar has renewed its confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif and loyalty to the party and the mind through envelops the prime minister said. Sources say that Ch Nisar, who had been unhappy with the partys leadership, including the Prime Minister in the last 15 days or so, I was in a better mood at the time when I was more in terms of accepting the call to return PM the normal activities of his ministry. Yasmin Rashid claims pre-poll rigging in NA-120

[05-Aug-2017] candidate for the NA-120 seat Dr Yasmin Rashid has alleged that PML-N has started pre-poll rigging in the constituency.
Addressing a press conference and flanked by PTI leaders, Dr Yasmin Rashid said that pre-poll rigging was underway since various development works were being carried out in the constituency.
She said that till date the Election Commission of Pakistan had not issued the voters list. Dr Yasmin further said that she was waiting for PML-N to nominate its candidate.

PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi new cabinet finalised

[04-Aug-2017] new federal cabinet of Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been finalized by the senior leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
According to details, Mushahid Ullah Khan will be the Environment Minister while Khawaja Asif will be appointed as the Foreign Minister.
Khurram Dastagir will be the new Defence Minister of Pakistan, the portfolio previously held by Khawaja Asif.
Ahsan Iqbal will be the successor to Chaudhry Nisar as he will take oath as the country's new Interior Minister. Ishaq Dar will resume his responsibilities as the Finance Minister.
Junaid Anwar Chaudhry and Irshad Laghari will also be part of the new cabinet.
The former cabinet stood dissolved after Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the Panama Papers case for not disclosing 10,000 dirhams which were receivable to him. .... [read more]


Claims by Ayesha Gulalai

[04-Aug-2017] Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai said on Thursday alleged that party chief Imran Khan had hinted towards tying the knot in the texts sent to her, which also included misappropriate messages.
Gulalai further claimed that she had informed her father that Imran had asked her to meet alone. She said she went along with her father and brother to meet Imran, which irked him.
She added that her father had asked Imran regarding what he wanted, but Imran dodged the question.
I am ready to sit infront of Imran and can confront him on the obnoxious messages that he sent. He put me through mental torture and pain, said Gulalai. <br /> <br /> She reiterated that Imran had sent her the first inappropriate message in 2013.
Gulalai claimed that her exposure to the media was also reduced, through Shireen Mazari, and she was not appreciated for highlighting public issues.
After all this, I decided to quit the party, said Gulalai.

Schedule for Election in NA-120

[02-Aug-2017] Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for election in NA-120, which was left vacant after the disqualification of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

According to the ECP schedule released on Tuesday, the election in NA-120 will take place on September 17, while candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers between August 10-12. The ECP will review nomination papers between August 15-17. .... [read more]

[Posted on : 2013-05-03 by Muhammad Tanveer Akhtar] NA-53 Consists of mostly the rural areas of Rawalpindis Potohar Town, Taxila and Urban Taxila/Wah Factory the most deprived areas are the adjoining peripheries of Chakri which is the Native of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, this area is now divided into two constituencies NA-52 and NA-53 both are the electoral constituencies of Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan a man who is known as the grandmaster of the politics since 1983 he is in the politics but he never took pain of establishing accumulation of community demands, this area is deprived of the health facilities, higher education, and even the safe drinking water the most alarming issue is the arsenic water which the 97% community is drinking from the well which are installed on the river banks Soan River one of the Highly Contaminated river in the Punjab.
