During a meeting in the ECP Central Secretariat, headed by Acting Chief Election Commissioner Justice Tassadiq Hussain Jilani, finally decided to hold the elections in all districts, some of the requests for postponement was denied.
Sources at the meeting said the Express Tribune Deputy Commissioner Jhal Magsi, Balochistan has asked for the postponement of elections for the Balochistan Assembly PB-32 due to the recent floods. Your request has been approved by the provincial election commissioner.
Balochistan Chief Secretary objected, saying that the postponement of the 60 polling stations in the constituency, only four had been flooded and water away from those stations.
The weather bureau officials and Pakistan DISASTER told attendees that there was no possibility of giving a wider spread rains in areas up to August 22.
"There were requests for postponement of Jhal Magsi, but we decided to go ahead with the polls. If the need arises, who move the affected polling" ECP secretary told reporters after the meeting.
