Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has won the battle of by-elections in NA-246, Karachi with a big margin, according to unofficial results.
According to announcement made by MQM leaders at Jinnah Ground, Kunwar Naveed has bagged 93, 122 votes.
According to unofficial results, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) got some 22, 885 votes while the JI stood third with more than 12, 000 votes.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) today put its weight behind Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Imran Ismail for the by-election of NA-246, Karachi.
We announce our decision to support Imran Ismail in the by-election, Owais Noorani told media persons in Karachi.

Pakistan sliver screen actress Meera, who never missed the opportunity to be in spot-light, announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate Imran Ismail who is running to claim the NA-246 seat in Karachi, vaccated by MQMs former MNA Nabeel Gabol.
According to online media, Meera said that she would run the election campaign of PTI candidate Imran Ismaial. and her mother also gave the permission for this activity. Twenty five candidates have submitted their nomination papers to contest the upcoming by-polls for National Assembly constituency NA-246 scheduled to be held on April 23, 2015.
According to details, eight candidates from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have submitted their nomination papers for the contest.(Geo)
Two candidates belonging to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), as many from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), two from Jamat-e-Islami (JI) and one from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have also filed their nomination papers.
Talking to newsmen PTI leader and one of the candidates for NA-246, Imran Ismail said his party would contest the by-polls from NA-246 and ruled out extending support to any other party in the by-elections.
The seat was vacated by ex-MQM leader Nabeel Gabol after he resigned from the NA membership.
