A lot of Candidates to contest
Around 14 candidates, including seven independents, have filed their nominations for NA-9 Mardan-I bye 250 469 election in which voters may exercise their right to choose their representative. The seat became vacant after resignation of former federal minister Khawaja Muhammad Hoti, who joined the party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) after leaving the Awami National Party (ANP). According to the list, former nazim Himayatullah Mayar Mardan will be the candidate of ANP while Gul LITAF be their candidate.
Ex MNA Malik Shujaul represent the JUI-F while former MPA Israrul Haq of their candidate. Despite the efforts of the ANP to woo JUI-F for attendance, the religious party had begun his campaign while JI is also very likely to support. The ruling party, the PPP has announced its support to the PNA. The JUI-P had sent Zulqarnain while independents, including Inayat Shah Bacha, Abid Khan, Sarfraz Khan, Yasser Ali, Sajjad Khan, Nawab Muhammad said Naz Awan Umair and Asia were also in the battlefield. - Posted on : 20-August-2013
